'Bagatelle' - A game of a little luck, a little skill and plenty of obstacles to negotiate. A bit like life. "Bagatelle' - A short, light, and mellow instrumental composition, often for piano. For Bob!

The composition carries a deeply poignant and bittersweet emotional signature, rich with reflective, somber nuance and gentle heartbreak. This dramatic underscore serves well as an emotional scene background, an indie drama soundtrack element, or a sensitive documentary underscore.

A slow, minimalist solo piano piece unfolds with a delicate, spacious arrangement that gently descends through a series of pensive, repeating motifs. The performance carries a deeply reflective and melancholic emotional signature, balancing a sombre, solitary grief with a peaceful, hopeful melancholy. This introspective track suits emotional drama scenes, grief and loss sequences, and reflective montages in art house films.
A Breath At Dusk

I had finished my jobs for the day and had a chance to sit at the piano. A great tool for me to decompress and soothe the soul. Once I had access, this piece popped out! Fantastic photo of the sunset at Constantine Bay, a place of many epic surfing sessions with ‘the boys’. Courtesy of Roger Finch https://www.instagram.com/rogfinch63
Broadcast on BBC Introducing. Another one of those times sat at the piano 'switching off' and letting my brain tell my fingers what to do. Nothing to do with me!
Moody, unpredictable and a bit cantankerous! That’s just the pianist!
I was dreamy! Sat at the piano the god of dreams put me in an Erik (c) Satie mood. I doodled on chords reminiscent of his Gymnopedie iterations. Perfect for a sleepy 4 minutes!

Broadcast on BBC Radio 4 ‘The Sleeping Forecast’. When you're tired, how do you 'still' your mind? This time I sat at the piano and imagined the restorative nature of natural, fresh, running water. This piece emerged, off the cuff as usual. A friend, John Batey, posted a photo of a local 'beauty spot' Golitha Falls, perfect! With his kind permission I used it for the artwork.
Improvisation after seeing a long standing dear friend. The news wasn’t good, it was emotional! This was my immediate response. You hear it just as I played. No thought, no plan, fingers doing their own thing! Photo - Trevose Head by Roger Finch https://www.instagram.com/rogfinch63
Broadcast on BBC Radio 4 ‘The Sleeping Forecast’. Calmness created by hands on the piano.
