Dedicated to the memory of Mike Rockliffe-King. I didn't know Mike personally, his daughter Hannah and I were colleagues at a college. Hannah asked me to recite a blessing in Cornish at his memorial celebration. I visited the family and learned his story...amazing! I was writing this piece at the time and the story became entwined with it. With the family's permission I dedicated this piece to Mike. Out of a selection of titles for the piece we had conjured up, Judith (Mike's wife) chose 'Dolore Autunnale' - Autumn Grief/Sorrow.
